Amazing Sunset

Wow, you should have seen the sunset today! I went downstairs
and saw this incredible light through the window, I just had to
go outside. It was amazing!

Henry, the Bumblebee

Bob and Amanda made a bumblebee craft while I ran to the grocery store. Bob did a great job with the glue gun!

Amanda loved the bee and named him Henry.

We've Got a Ballerina in the House!

I bought this cute little princess outfit when I stopped at
a garage sale on the way to run an errand. It was a steal at
$3.00. It is a little too big, but Amanda will grow into it.
She just loved it! I also picked up a "Kids Bible Songs" tape
and Amanda loved that too! She is dancing to the songs
in all of these photos.

Look at how her hands are positioned. Just like a ballerina!

She is always walking on her tippy toes.

I need to sign her up for ballet lessons. Can
you tell that I am a proud parent? Amanda
is so much fun!

Deck Built by Tom Jr.

My brother-in-law has been staying with us for the past
several weeks while he built this deck for one of our
neighbors. He did a great job, didn't he! I think we
may be getting new deck too.

Fun at the Pool

Amanda and I made a tent before going to the pool.

The water was cold, but we got used to it
real fast! It was in the 90's.

Pretty soon Amanda will not need her
floaties!

Last night of VBS

After we got home from Nashville,
Amanda attend the last 2 nights of VBS at
Bob's parents church. Above is her new friend.

She had fun flying a kite after the celebration.
Look at her go!!!

Here is another new friend.

This baby deer was found on the side of the road abandoned
by its mother. The man who provided the closing VBS
celebration meal is going to take care of the deer.

Above is the craft that Amanda and Grandma made together.
Why do I suddenly have a craving for s'mores?

Visiting the garden near Nana an Papa's house

The subdivision that my parents live in used to be farmland.
In the middle of the subdivision is a track of land
that is preserved for a huge garden. Neighbors work together
in the garden and anyone living there can come and pick
vegetables. There is a chart on the barn that tells you what
vegetable is ready to be picked. There are even markers that
say "Pick here".  What a clever idea to bring a subdivision
together! This nice neighbor in the photo above helped Amanda
pick some squash and green peppers.

Celebrating Birthday's at Ellendales

We celebrated my sister and my dad's birthday at a favorite
restaurant–Ellendales.

Happy Father's Day and Birthday!

I am glad that Amanda and I got to be with you on Father's Day
and your birthday! We love you!

VBS week

Amanda attended VBS with our neighbor's children this
week at Suwanee UMC. She had a great time learning
about the "Be Attitudes" and "Surfin' through the Scriptures"

Above is Ms. Emily, the director of VBS.
She did a wonderful job!
