Bob's Work

Bob flew a new plane to a customer in Ft. Lauderdale last weekend and flew home on Delta on Sunday. I picked him up at the airport and drove him over to Hawker Beechcraft Co. so that he could get his car. He showed me around inside his hanger. It was neat to see the different types of planes and find out who owns them!

All the Garden Veggies at Once!

It seems like all of my tomatoes from the garden were ready at the same time. Next year I think I am going to plant the tomatoes at different stages so I will be able to pick them over a longer period of time. It is going to kill me to have to pay for tomatoes and cucumbers at the grocery store in another month!

Legos!

I am so glad I held on to my legos from when I was a little girl. I've got quite a collection and was thrilled to help Amanda get started on her first house! I only wish that my mom had not given away my Barbie collection. (sniff … sniff)

Amanda read a book to Mr. Lamb. It was so cute to hear her voice and how she spoke to Mr. Lamb. She must have memorized the story because she knew it word for word.

New Diet

I started a new low fat, low carb diet! My first dinner meal yesterday was a shrimp salad with dill dressing from the South Beach diet cookbook. It was really good. But I went and blew the diet tonight at a MOPS meeting. Stacy served a wonderful meal and dessert. Chocolate chip chocolate cake and ice cream! Well, there is always tomorrow …

Coloring is FUN!

Amanda got a strange rash after going to the pool on Saturday. The pool cleaners were finishing up at the pool when we arrived there. I don't know if it was from the chlorine or something else. I put some calamine lotion on her arms to help with the itchy feeling. I feel so sorry for my little Amanda and hope it clears up soon!

So Much Zucchini

The zucchini plants have done very well this year in my garden—so well, I didn't know what to do with all of the zucchini. I've given it to neighbors and have already frozen several gallon size ziploc bags of it. I decided to make zucchini lasagna—I knew it would be much healthier for me than zucchini bread. I used my lasagna recipe with homemade sauce and just substituted the noodles with strips of zucchini. It turned out great!

Fun at the Pool with Daddy

Homemade Playdough

Amanda and I had fun making homemade playdough!

Here is a funny story: Amanda wanted to cut out pictures of children's books from a book club catalog. After we cut out a bunch, she told me that now I could go to the store and redeem them for the actual book. I could use the cut-outs just like I use my coupons at the grocery store. She is so clever!

Fun on the Fourth

After the parade we went back to Tom and Mary's house for a cookout. Amanda had a lot of fun playing in the kiddie pool!

Happy Fourth of July!

Amanda and I went to a parade in downtown Dahlonega, Georgia with Bob's parents (and their friends who were visiting from Indiana). Bob and Tom Jr. went fishing for the day.
